Power to Prosper Project Advisory Group

The Power to Prosper Project Advisory Group is a collaborative initiative led by the Runnymede Trust and the New Economics Foundation including APDA and other DPO led racialised communities aimed at empowering racialised and disabled communities to overcome systemic barriers and achieve economic prosperity.

Through community-driven research and policy advocacy, the project seeks to address the unique challenges faced by these marginalized groups and develop effective strategies for promoting their economic well-being.

At the heart of the project is a commitment to participatory action research (PAR), which involves gathering insights and experiences directly from affected communities to ensure that their voices are heard and their needs are met. By engaging community members as active participants in the research process, the Power to Prosper Project Advisory Group aims to uncover the root causes of economic disparities and identify innovative solutions that are grounded in the lived experiences of racialised and disabled individuals.

The findings from this research will then be used to influence policies and practices at the local, regional, and national levels, with the goal of creating a more inclusive and equitable economy that works for everyone. Through its multifaceted approach, the Power to Prosper Project Advisory Group is working to dismantle systemic barriers, promote economic empowerment, and create lasting change for racialised and disabled communities across the UK.
